Unirea Shopping Center, one of Bucharest’s largest retail complexes, has successfully implemented Cisco® Digital Signs to enhance its in-mall advertising, attract new revenue streams, and retain its rental premium. This deployment, part of Cisco’s Digital Media Suite (DMS), allows for centralized streaming of graphics and video content across 85 widescreen displays throughout the mall, ensuring targeted, high-quality communication to shoppers.
Key Highlights:
- High Foot Traffic: With three shopping floors and an additional floor dedicated to food and entertainment, Unirea Shopping Center draws an average of 40,000 visitors on weekdays and 55,000 on weekends, making it a prime location for advertisers.
- Revenue Generation & Differentiation: The Cisco Digital Signs solution enables Unirea to run in-mall advertisements for its tenants, providing a modern and targeted advertising platform that helps boost sales for tenants while generating additional revenue for the mall. This digital upgrade also allows Unirea to differentiate itself from competitors and maintain its rental premium.
- Integrated Cisco Technology: The system, designed by Cisco Premier Certified Partner Probitas, includes Cisco Digital Media Players that deliver content to the signage systems. It also uses the Cisco Digital Media Manager for content scheduling and playlist management, running on the mall’s Cisco local area network (LAN), supported by Cisco Catalyst® 2960 and 3560 Series Switches. The flexibility of the platform allows for scalable, centralized content management and publishing.
